Panel discussion 1: Meeting needs of the patients – ethical and economic imperative
The objective of the 1st Panel discussion: Meeting needs of the patients – ethical and economic imperative is to emphasize national responsibility across all levels of societies and governmental commitment and support in meeting patients' needs through establishment of effective transplantation programs and prevention strategies for chronic diseases, in light of country economics and public health care system. Organ transplantation is the most cost-effective and humane treatment for end stage renal failure. Patients can expect to achieve long-term survival with a high quality of life, simultaneously resulting in national health care budget expenditure savings.
In order to prepare the Ministerial Presentation, in duration 3-5 minutes on the topic mentioned above, we recommend consulting the following documents:

Panel discussion 2: Self Sufficiency in Organ Donation and Transplantation – is it a regional reality?
For the purpose of promoting and supporting implementation of the successful organizational models and elements of self-sufficiency in organ donation and transplantation in the SEEHN countries, the 2nd Panel discussion addresses the topic: Self Sufficiency in Organ Donation and Transplantation – is it a regional reality? Ministers are invited to present and deliver a short country Action Plan with regard to the suggested concept of self-sufficiency and implementation of basic elements and requirements for an organ donation and transplantation program. To that extent we ask that you use the country template provided.
