Conference & Meeting Information

Below please find practical information about the Ministerial Conference. The information contained in this document is for the benefit of the Ministers and their Delegations who will attend the First Regional Ministerial Conference on Organ Donation and Transplantation scheduled for Monday, 4th June 2012, at the Sheraton Hotel, Zagreb, Croatia.

The Conference will be held back-to-back with the 29^th meeting of the SEEHN on Wednesday and Thursday, on 5^th and 6^th June 2012, at the Ministry of Health, Zagreb, Croatia.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE

The transfer from the airport to the hotel will be organized for the Ministers and Partners, Professional faculty speakers and high representatives of the international organisations/ institutions upon their arrival in Zagreb.

The other participants are kindly requested to take a taxi or public transportation from the airport to the hotel. We suggest busses operated by Pleso Transport Company Ltd. (situated some 17 km south from the city) which runs to the Main Bus Station (Autobusni Kolodvor) in Zagreb. From there you can take a tram (numbers 2, 6 or 8) to the Sheraton hotel. The usual transfer from the airport to the city is 5 euros using bus and approx. 30 euros using taxi.

There is an exchange office at the airport, located within the Passenger Terminal, but also at the reception desk of the Hotel Sheraton. There are also cash machines at the airport, as well as nearby the hotel.

ZAGREB AIRPORT > ZAGREB (TERMINAL - MAIN BUS STATION)

* The last bus from the Zagreb Airport leaves every day at 8 pm (20:00), and after that buses leave shortly after the arrival of the aircrafts (regular flights).

ZAGREB (TERMINAL - MAIN BUS STATION) > ZAGREB AIRPORT

Every day from Terminal (Main Bus Station):

* On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday the first bus from the terminal leaves at 04:30

** On Wednesday and Sunday the last bus from terminal leaves at 21:30

ACCREDITATION / REGISTRATION

Accreditation / Registration will remain open until 21^st May, 2012

Participants are kindly requested to complete their accreditation online.

For participants arriving on Sunday 03^rd April, 2012, a welcome coctail will be arranged at 19:00 / Hotel Sheraton / Please confirm your attendance in the Registration Form.

ACCOMMODATION

For all participants the host is ready to assist with the hotel reservations at the Sheraton Hotel. The host will be delighted to cover the cost of one night accommodation from 3rd to 4th June 2012 at the Sheraton Hotel for the Ministers plus 1 delegation member (1+1) and professional faculty speakers. The other participants are expected to cover their own accommodation expenses (special rates have been provided by the host at the Sheraton Hotel) and their international travel costs. Please note that the host/organizer will provide transport for the participants of the 29th Meeting (5th and 6th June) from the Sheraton Hotel to the meeting venue at the Ministry of Health.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

If you have any dietary requirements, please indicate them during the registration process.

CLIMATE AND CLOTHING

The average temperature in Zagreb in June is 20 °C and often rainy. Delegates are advised to bring light clothing.

The language of the conference is English.
